I hate Waylon Prescott from the moment I see him, smugly judging me for dancing through my own living room. He’s too pretty for his own good, and his mouth? Well, let’s just say every time he opens it he turns perfectly innocent things into dirty ones. He has the same effect on my mind, not that I’m about to let him know that. My only goal is to survive this accidental double date and get home, far away from the football playboy of Highland State. 

Pregame is a 9,000 word short story prequel to the full-length novel Play Fake. It’s the story of the first time Waylon & Mackenzie meet.
